De jour en jour / From day to day

We all believe; in something, in someone, in concepts we’ve never seen or touched… Many of us believe that our beliefs are somehow absolutely rooted in truth and that our beliefs are a part of who we are, of who “I” “am”!
Well then, what lies below the surface of my beliefs? Perhaps I should ask: “What lies are my beliefs rooted in?” Why have I been afraid of rooting out the lies upon which I built my beliefs?
Each and every one of us is much more that the sum of our personal beliefs. To define ourselves by our personal beliefs is to limit our true voice, is to limit our “possibilities”. Life is about possibilities like a blank canvas fully open to receiving the brush strokes of the artist. Have you ever considered taking a paint by numbers pre-drawn canvas and just painting something of your choosing? Would it be wrong?
Are we holding ourselves back by strictly adhering to our beliefs? What if they offer us a paint by numbers approach to our life? What if one or more of our beliefs are based on a lie, a lie from our childhood that we mistook as truth? What if what we experienced or heard or did was a noun and not a verbe? For to lie in a bed of lies does not foster a restful sleep…

So many things to say, so little time…
To dream is to be human… With dreams, the most important aspect of having dreams is having the wisdom to either realize these dreams or to let them go.
Many of us spend a lifetime keeping a dream alive without ever setting in motion the actions to realize this dream. “Spoiler Alert! Stop reading this blog if you don’t want learn the truth about Santa Claus and Fairy Godmothers! You have been warned!”
Sometimes, keeping a dream alive without ever having the courage to realize this dream involves waiting for some magic to make it become real; waiting for a Fairy Godmother to suddenly appear, or some type of Santa Claus to drop it down the chimney… Not likely to happen! Why? Because these “would be heroes” are lazy that’s why!
Think about it, when is the last time you saw Santa Claus or a Fairy Godmother? Probably in a movie or in your imagination while reading a story with them as characters in the story. So, who did the heavy lifting in those moments? Santa Claus? Fairy Godmother? Of course not, remember, they are lazy… The heavy lifting was done by the writer(s) who wrote the story. In a movie some of the heavy lifting is done by the actors who bring the characters to “life” with the help of many other people performing a variety of tasks…
Well then, are we waiting for a writer or an actor to make our dreams come true? They can’t do it for us either even though they are not lazy. It’s up to each one of us to roll up our sleeves, muster up our courage and take the first steps in making our dreams a reality…
But what about magic??? Magic? Well of course you can use magic to make your dreams come true! But the only real magic in this case lies waiting within our hearts 😉 Open your heart and reach for the magic! The magic of who you are is right there in your heart just waiting patiently along with your courage…
Now, where did I put the rainbow dust and the unicorn farts???
